Staff and Counselor Expectations

Harrisburg Area Confirmation Camp is an annual retreat seeking to form young persons in Christ.

STAFF EXPECTATIONS

Baptism has implications for our life in community and trust is foundational for our life together. Basic standards include:

Commitment to Christ
Acceptance of and adherence to the Lutheran Confessions
Willingness and ability to serve in response to the needs of the camp
Practical qualifications for the position					
A life consistent with the Gospel
Personal qualifications including leadership abilities and competence in interpersonal relationships
Membership and involvement in congregational life apart from camp.
Acceptance of the responsibility to remove myself from a leadership position if I choose not to live in
discipleship and accord with these basic standards.

Selection of Staff will be the mutual responsibility of the Staff Selection Committee and the Pastoral and Lay leadership of the member congregations. Ultimate decisions about staff selection will be made by the Staff Selection Committee of the Harrisburg Area Confirmation Camp.
